looking

for you

might be frightening

and confusing

even scary

or may be

the best thing

ever

Lean into life and reflect

the children thought she was abandoned

uncared for

a ruin

a plaything

but she was only

resting

contemplating

past storms

and tempests

watching

rainbows

The Snail wins the Race

I said I’d be happy

to see a snail or two

but in days they’ve multiplied into hundreds.

When the rain finally came

and the seedlings grew

they feasted

and left me

nothing!
